Tony De Mille
for Utah State House District 13
BIG TONY FOR UTAH HOUSE DISTRICT 13
Independent. Accountable. Data-Driven.
I’m running for Utah House District 13 as a member of the Utah Forward Party because I believe government should serve people — not party bosses, not corporate PACs, and not the loudest voices on social media.
I’m not running to join a team.
I’m running to represent a district.
If you want someone who will vote based on data, transparency, and what’s actually best for our community — you’re in the right place.
If you want partisan theater, you won’t like me much.
Why I’m Running
I’m a father.
I’m a grandfather.
I’m a husband.
I’m a working Realtor who understands what housing costs, what groceries cost, and what it feels like to build something from the ground up.
I don’t sell multi-million-dollar mansions for hedge funds. I work with regular families trying to build equity and stability. I sit at kitchen tables with people making real financial decisions.
And I’ve watched government drift further from those tables.
Too much posturing.
Too much division.
Too little accountability.
So I decided to step up.
What I Believe
I believe in government for the people, by the people, of the people.
I believe data should guide decisions — not emotional swings or party loyalty.
I believe if new information proves me wrong, I should have the integrity to adjust.
I believe leaders should answer questions directly, in public, on a regular basis.
And I believe Utah deserves steady leadership before the political pendulum swings so hard it snaps.
My Priorities for District 13
Education That Works for Students — Not Bureaucracy
Teachers matter. Classrooms matter. Kids matter.
We need to:
Reign in administrative bloat.
Tie compensation and advancement to classroom impact — not just degrees.
Hold charter schools accountable if they accept public funds.
Require administrators to meet regularly with parents and community members — not just teachers.
Education funding should follow outcomes.
Not paperwork.
Law Enforcement Accountability
Supporting law enforcement and demanding accountability are not opposites.
They go together.
We need:
Clearly marked vehicles in contrasting colors.
No masks during routine public interactions.
Mandatory, functioning body cameras.
Clear identification at all times.
Community-rooted policing at local, state, and federal levels.
Public trust is built on visibility, transparency, and consistency.
If you serve the public, you should be visible to the public.
Water & The Great Salt Lake
4
No bill passed in the legislature makes rain fall.
But policy can encourage smarter conservation, better infrastructure, and long-term planning.
We need:
Incentives for efficient water use.
Infrastructure upgrades that reduce waste.
Data-based benchmarks.
Honest reporting to the public.
This issue deserves seriousness, not slogans.
Attainable Housing & Smart Growth
This is personal for me.
Starter homes build equity. Equity builds stability. Stability builds strong communities.
We need:
Zoning reform that makes sense.
Infrastructure planning before development, not after.
Housing options that respect existing neighborhoods.
Policies that help first-time buyers compete.
We cannot build our way forward without also building roads, water systems, and public services alongside it.
Growth without infrastructure is chaos.
Growth with planning is prosperity.
Government Accountability
This is the foundation.
If elected, I will:
Hold regular public town halls.
Publish clear explanations for my votes.
Maintain open communication channels with constituents.
Prioritize transparency over political comfort.
You deserve access to your representative.
Not a press release.
Why a Third Party?
Because the two major parties have become more interested in fighting each other than fixing problems.
The Utah Forward Party allows candidates to think independently.
That matters.
I don’t have to agree with every platform plank.
And you shouldn’t agree with me on everything either.
In fact, if we agreed on everything, one of us probably isn’t thinking hard enough.
Why Not Vote for Me?
Don’t vote for me if you want someone who blindly follows party orders.
Don’t vote for me if you think anger is policy.
Don’t vote for me if you want a representative who never changes their mind when new data emerges.
But if you want someone who:
Shows up.
Answers tough questions.
Values unity without sacrificing principle.
Puts District 13 above party politics.
Then I’m asking for your support.
Small Donations. Big Impact.
I accept donations.
But I don’t take large corporate PAC money or religious PAC money.
This campaign runs on individuals.
If you believe District 13 deserves steady, independent leadership, chip in what you can.
Every dollar helps keep this campaign accountable to people — not institutions.
